Holi Celebrations at the ISB

On 28 February, we, the class of 2010 celebrated holi, ISB style, but with a twist. Yes, we know holi was on 1 March but we like to attend classes on Mondays. This was one morning when we forgot all the pains, the placements, classes and just enjoyed ourselves. This was one of those few times when the whole community comes together including the students, staff, faculty and of course, the exchange students. For everyone, the experience is different. For most of the exchange students, they celebrated holi for the first time and had a blast. For us, the year is nearly coming to an end and this is one of the many moments that we will cherish and remember for the rest of our lives.

Anyone could make out the level of enthusiasm displayed that morning. The colours were ordered in excess but we still fell short of them. The famous SV3 mirror pool was filled with coloured water and everyone was greeted with a little swim in the mirror pool. Adding to the fun was the sweet thandai, with a “twist”, that was savored by everyone. These high spirits, no pun intended, were complemented by the desi beats of the DJ and the coloured water filled mirror pool became the dance floor. At the ISB, holi is always a different experience, but the level of enthusiasm displayed by everyone is the same, regardless of age and nationality.

Everyone was on a high that day, with the joy of experiencing togetherness and the fun of being a twelve year old.
