Equinox 2015 - A Flashback

Equinox 2015

It's been said that the best things in life are the people we love, the places we have been to, and the memories we have made along the way. The one year at ISB has been just that and much, much more! At the risk of sounding clichéd, it has been one of the best experiences of our lives. And quite honestly, as I sit down to write this, I feel that words will not do justice to the whole avalanche of memories that overwhelm me right now: struggling to wake up for 8:00 am classes, pulling all-nighters to complete assignments, our bête noire—MKDM pop quizzes, the humbling experience of Bandhan, Aikya—the day we found a home away from home, welcoming our alumni during Equinox, hobnobbing with the who’s who of business at ILS, the nail-biting placements season, the disorientation week, the countless parties—for a reason and without any reason, the awesome bunch of friends we made, the excellent faculty and staff, tossing our hats during graduation... phew...my cup runneth over!

ISB gave new meaning to so many things we take for granted in our lives—our family and friends, our beauty sleep and our weekly offs. But these trade-offs have been totally worth it, and how! Our friends and peer group became our support systems, parties and quad cook-outs superseded our nap times and the weekends were devoted to participating in case competitions and prepping for marquee events.

Exactly one year ago, as part of Team Equinox, we were pulling out all the stops to welcome our alumni in a carnivalesque style—complete with pomp and show. And it is my qualified assumption that they had as much fun as we had while planning it. Equinox brought us closer as a team, uncovered for us our abilities to multitask, and then, when our efforts were appreciated, we smiled like wounded soldiers whose country has just won the battle.

And now, it is already Equinox time again! I can completely relate to the team that must be putting in hours of work to make this event a success. Sarovar, Infinity Corridor, Goenka Auditorium, Juju, SVs, and most importantly our friends. #EquinoxIsHere, #LifeAtISBBeckons!!
