Can you tell us a little about your family background/history?
My father, before retirement, was in Central Government and worked for the Department of Telecom and my mother has been a school teacher for the last 17 years. Given my father's transferable job, I, along with my two sisters, have had the privilege of traveling and studying in various schools across India. Most of my schooling was done in St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradun.

I and my wife, Sripriya, who works in the Business Process and Change management group of TCS have been living in Hyderabad for the last six years.

Tell us about your profile pre ISB, and recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
Post completion of my Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (DU), I started my career with TCS as a programmer analyst which gradually modified into sales support by the time I joined ISB. I was fortunate to work on some tool and language migration programs which eventually helped the company sell significant volume of business to our existing customer.

Post ISB, I have been lucky to have an all-round experience in Consulting (Deloitte Consulting - S&O), Transaction Advisory (Financial Advisory Services) and Operational roles (Infotech Enterprises - Corporate Development). Currently, I work with Ventureast Tenet Fund, an early stage Venture Capital Fund.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
Breaks between classroom sessions; late night assignments; lot of group fighting and mini-parties between term breaks.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
My interaction with peers from various backgrounds has brought a wider perspective to my thought process.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
In every way; right set of academic knowledge, development of softer and group skills and importance of network.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
Sublime

What was the main highlight of your  programme at the ISB?
Great faculty, cut throat and matured peer group, and world class facilities.

Word of advice for the current class?
Do not lose the focus. Value your peers.

What was your favourite course/class at ISB and why?
Negotiations (Dishan Kamdar) and Corporate M&A (Sreenivas Kamma) (Excellent faculty and course structure)

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
Guidance and Mentorship.

What do you enjoy most about your current career position?
It puts to test the entire ISB curricula.

What is the next new thing in the industry or vertical you are working in? Any trends that you can see?
Fortunately, as a part of my job, I get to meet great thinkers and innovators. Expect to see a lot more action in the mobile and crowd sourcing space.
