More Women Set to Storm into IIMs: Companies looking to muster their gender diversity scores are likely to find happy hunting when they walk into IIM campuses in placement season 2015. Early data trickling in from IIMs, shows the institutes are in an overdrive to admit more female students in the current 2013-15 batch. The top three IIMs in Ahmadabad, Bangalore and Kolkata have together shortlisted 989 woman candidates for a total of 1,272 available seats.

Chicago Booth Executive MBA gets a facelift: Chicago Booth is revamping its Executive MBA programme - an MBA for senior working managers - to include additional courses and overseas study. The Chicago EMBA, arguably the oldest EMBA in the world, is taught on the school’s three campuses in Chicago, London and Singapore. Beginning with the matriculating class of 2013, all students will study overseas for five weeks instead of four.

Hong Kong University to give women a helping hand: Hong Kong University has teamed up with executive search firm Harvey Nash to develop a certificate programme to prepare women managers in Asia for appointment to the corporate board. The Women’s Directorship Programme, run by HKU’s executive education division, will comprise five modules, taught over two three-day sessions in April and June 2013. The programme will cover topics such as strategy, ethics and compliance, remuneration and conflict resolution.

Global Business 2020: Paving the Way for India”- Results of Recent Survey of Indian B-School Students: TCS in collaboration with the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) has released survey results about the perception of the consulting profession among Indian business school students. According to the survey carried out by TCS’ Global Consulting Practice, a majority of the respondents across age groups, gender, and with different levels of experience want to pursue a career in consulting.
