From educating a class of 100 students to setting up a whole new campus, we’ve come a long way. Work will soon start on the ISB campus at Mohali. A first look at the new campus and more information can be found elsewhere in the newsletter. I hope you have all received an invitation to the Foundation laying ceremony on the 11th of August and will make it convenient to attend.
As you are all aware, the ISB has consistently been ranked in the top 15 global b-schools in the Financial Times (FT) ranking for the last three years. The FT ranking methodology is based on surveying the Class that graduated 3 years prior. For a school to be ranked, at least 20 per cent of the alumni from that class need to respond. So alums from the Class of 2007, please take time to respond to the survey. Prashanthi from the Alumni relations team will soon be in touch with you to verify your contact details. You can also write to her at alumni_relations@isb.edu if you need to update your coordinates on the alumni database.
The admission process for the Class of 2012 has begun and we would be happy to have you refer applicants. Do visit this link and refer candidates that you think would be a good fit for the ISB.
I hope you also consider participating in the second ISB iDiya Challenge, a national competition of ideas for social ventures. The competition aims to promote social entrepreneurship in India by inviting ideas from working professionals for profitable business models with measureable social impact. Ideas can be submitted online at www.isb.edu/iDiya.
This month, more than 50 alums will be spending time at the ISB to interact with the current class. They will be conducting Elective Info Sessions and Knowledge Sessions on campus. It is always great to have alums back on campus and I am really looking forward to it.
As always, send us your feedback and suggestions to alumni_relations@isb.edu.
Warm wishes,
Nidhi
