Data Science Summit at (ISB-Hyderabad)
IIDS organised its flagship Data Science Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Applications on Supply Chain models focussing on Retail Analytics on the 2nd of December 2022.
Policy Conclave on Gig and Platform Economy in association with Niti Aayog (ISB-Mohali)
ISB Institute of Data Science, Indian School of Business, (Mohali), in collaboration with NITI Ayog, New Delhi, organised a policy conclave on 'The Gig and Platform Economy in India' on 25th January 2023.
Panel Discussions
Organised panel discussion titled, ‘Re-shaping India's Data Landscape: Upcoming Legislation on Data Protection’, 12th September 2022, ISB Hyderabad
The panel deliberated on the changing landscape of cybercrime and increased cyber attacks that have raised concerns about the potential exposure of personal and sensitive data that calls for tighter restrictions and stricter legislation.
Organised a Panel Discussion on ‘Telecom Subscription Frauds: Global Policy Trends, Challenges, and Risks,’ Public Policy Dialogues, 6th Jan 2023, Indian School of Business Hyderabad campus.
The panel brainstormed the challenges telecom service providers face in curtailing subscription frauds and a critical need for governments to bridge the international digital divide by capacity building and global cooperation to match the inventiveness of cyber criminals.
Organised a Panel Discussion on ‘Path to Data Science: Skills & Opportunities’ on 18th February 2023 at ISB Mohali campus.
The panel discussed the opportunities available in the field of Data Science, the skills required, the skill gap that exists in Data Science, the career paths available, and obtainable career goals and objectives.
Signed an agreement with The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) on 12th January 2023 to take up joint research on cyber security in areas of mutual interest.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Cyberabad Police, Kalmeshwar Shingenavar and ISB Institute of Data Science Executive Director, Professor Manish Gangwar in the presence of ISB Dean Professor Madan Pillutla at ISB Hyderabad campus
Roundtable Discussion
CyberPeace Event
IIDS, in collaboration with The Cyber Peace Foundation, organised & hosted Drive4CyberPeace: 'My Data- My Privacy,' an interactive programme and round table discussions on data privacy on the 13th September 2022 at The ISB Hyderabad Campus.
The Government of India is soliciting public comments and opinions from stakeholders at the ground level and incorporating them in the New Data Protection Bill to protect and secure citizens' data. In this regard, the IIDS collaborated with the Cyber Peace Foundation and organised a roundtable discussion with faculty and administrators regarding their understanding and expectations from the upcoming Data Protection Bill and raising awareness about the right and autonomy of individuals regarding their data.

AMPBA alumna, Ruma Mukherjee - Principal Engineer, Intel Corporation, has been recognised by Analytics India Magazine with the 'Women in Tech Leadership Awards' at The RISING 2023 conference for her work in shaping the data and AI strategy for the group.
Our alum Jatinder Bedi, Head of AI/ML Kanini Sw Ltd., and a research scholar, IIM-Kashipur from the first batch (CBA-2013), has co-authored the chapter ‘Understanding the Industry 4.0 Revolution using Twitter Analytics’ with R.K. Padhy and Siddhartha S. Padhi for the book ‘Industry 4.0 Technologies for Business Excellence.’

The ISB Institute of Data Science conducts research and imparts education in business analytics and data science. It designs & delivers programmes for working professionals in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science applications in business decision-making. As part of our outreach activities, IIDS organises Conferences, Masterclasses, Workshops, Panel Discussions, and Workshops. The institute provides data analytics support to other departments, research centres, and institutes at ISB. In an endeavour to connect theory to practice, IIDS designs and develops AI Analytics and data-based solutions for the industry to address their complex business problems.
