India Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Report : India's pharmaceutical
market is the ranks as the tenth most attractive amongst 19 other countries in
the Asia-Pacific region. Internationalization of Indian generic drug makers will
continue, which is being facilitated by the growing use of generic substitution
as a tool of cost containment globally, as governments seek to curb rising
healthcare expenditure. Key risks include the difficulties in ensuring quality
manufacturing and medicine pricing pressures.
E-Grocery Market in India : The e-grocery market in India has gained
considerable momentum in the last two years, with the entry of a number of new
players. Several venture capitalists and angel investors are focusing on the
market owing to its immense growth potential. The Indian grocery market is the
sixth-largest in the world. Factors such as rising disposable income, increased
Internet penetration and smartphone usage, along with a growing digital
awareness among consumers, are resulting in the rapid growth of the market in
India.
Consumer Electronics - Trends and Outlook in 2020 : Internet retailing
remains a key channel for consumer electronics. While smaller items, like
wearable electronics (55%) and computers and peripherals (28%), are commonly
purchased online, electronics and appliance specialist retailers still accounted
for 69% of mobile phone sales in 2015. Electronics and appliance specialist
retailers are more dominant in emerging markets, particularly in Eastern Europe.
Healthcare Providers in India : Growing urbanization and a range of
unhealthy lifestyle trends (such as changing diets and rising obesity levels)
have propelled this market, despite patchy coverage in the country, where many
rural consumers can't access adequate healthcare and many hospitals and clinics
are overcrowded and underfunded.
Global Biopharma Cold Chain Packaging Market : Increasing demand for
biopharmaceutical products upturns the demand for efficient packaging solutions.
Manufacturers have been focusing on innovative packaging materials like
polypropylene and polyvinylchloride plastic resins in recent times. These
materials reduce the cost of packaging, prevent breakage, and maintain sterility
of the packaged products.
The Road to Digital Success in Pharma : Pharmaceutical
companies are running hard to keep pace with changes brought about by digital
technology. Mobile communications, the cloud, advanced analytics, and the
Internet of Things are among the innovations that are starting to transform the
healthcare industry in the ways they have already transformed the media, retail,
and banking industries.
Competing for Attention - An Empirical Study of Online Reviewers Strategic
Behavior : Top online reviewers who reliably gain consumers’ attention stand
to make significant financial gains and monetize the amount of attention and
reputation they have earned. This study explores how online reviewers
strategically choose the right product to review and the right rating to post so
that they can gain attention and enhance reputation.
Design Thinking Comes of Age : In large organizations, design is moving
closer to the center of the enterprise. This shift isn’t about aesthetics and
product development, however. It’s about imparting the principles of
design—collectively known as design thinking—throughout the organization. The
approach is in large part a response to the complexity of many products,
services, and processes. People need help—they need their interactions with
technologies and other complicated systems to be intuitive and pleasurable.
Design thinking is an essential tool for simplifying and humanizing.
IT-Enabled Broadcasting in Social Media : With the emergence of social
media and Web 2.0, broadcasting in the online environment has evolved into a new
form of marketing due to the much broader reach enabled by information
technology. This paper quantifies the effect of artists’ broadcasting activities
on a well-known social media site for music, MySpace, on music sales. It is
found that broadcasting in social media has a significant effect on sales even
after controlling for the aforementioned factors, and more important, the effect
mainly comes from personal messages rather than automated messages.
Sustainable Evaluation and Verification in Supply Chains : To date,
sustainable supply chain management research has largely focused on monitoring
as a self-managed set of narrowly defined evaluative activities employed by
firms to provide stakeholder accountability. Nevertheless, evidence is emerging
that firms have developed a wide variety of monitoring systems in order to align
with stakeholder’s expectations and leverage accountability to stakeholders.
Cluster Of Top Business Schools Help Family-Owned Companies Innovate :
Three top global business schools including
Harvard have combined to launch an executive education program for Chinese
family-run businesses. Seen as the backbone of the Chinese private sector,
family-owned firms have evolved beyond a focus on low-cost manufacturing to
include a focus on technology and innovation. But their management practices
remain immature, and many are reaching a crunch point as founders hand over to
the next generation.
The Best Two-Year International Business Schools 2015:
Universities in the United States have long been viewed as the model for
business school education. The best students are no longer just looking at
schools in Boston, Chicago, Palo Alto and Philadelphia, but also considering
elite programs in locales outside the U.S. like London, Barcelona and Paris.
Women In Business School :
When it comes to women in business, business schools have long lobbied for
better representation of women at the top. After years of lowly female enrolment
figures, it seems they are finally beginning to practice what they preach.
Masters in management lift fortunes of US business schools :
The masters in management degree, once the
best-kept secret of European business schools, is becoming the star of
21st-century business education. Though still a passport to the boardrooms of
France and northern Europe, it is also proving to be the saviour of many North
American business schools and a tool to build international reputations in
countries as far afield as China
