“A Short History of Nearly Everything”, by Bill Bryson
One may wonder about the bold title but Bill Bryson does a fine job justifying it.  Whether you loved or hated science, history in school, you would find this book to be not only informative but quite entertaining. This book fills in the gaps in what we learnt so far and answers quite a few questions that we always had as a child (or even now); be it about the universe or why one country is more prosperous than the other.
I feel Bill Bryson has a great sense of humour and presents various facts in easily-understandable detail even making typically dry areas of science like astronomy, zoology and humanities, fun to read!

”Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson
If you ever wondered what it was like to "be" Steve Jobs or even to work for/with him, you would think again, once you read this book.  Walter Isaacson does a great job in presenting various shades of Steve Jobs in this brilliantly formatted exhaustive biography. Whether you are a fan of Apple or not, this book is a must read.

“The New Age of Innovation”, By CK Prahalad & MS Krishnan
This book is about reinventing processes and culture to sustain change and innovation in this new age of global resources and individually customized needs of the customer.  Brilliant ideas, inspiring views and great examples from US and India which are easy to relate to, make it a good read.
