Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
After my Masters from Carnegie Mellon, I joined General Motors Research in Bangalore. I was involved in several R&D projects, some of which are finally in GM’s production vehicles today. I took a break with a college classmate to startup my own venture, Indee.tv. We worked with international independent filmmakers and film festivals to sell our platform and products.
After graduating from ISB in 2011, I starting working at Microsoft India in Hyderabad as a Corporate Account Manager, handling regional field sales.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
I’m guessing that an answer like ‘the whole year’ is not what is expected! If I had to pick one memory, it would have to be running OWEEK for the incoming class (the Class of 2012). Working with a rockstar team to pull off an awesome week to orient and welcome the new class was a memory that I’ll cherish for a long time to come.

With the knowledge and experience gained at ISB, when looking back, tell us something that you would have done differently while you were a student here?
The top of the wish list would be to have had a chance to interact with more of my classmates. There are only so many hours in a day and given our packed schedules, it is something that everyone wants to do but very few get to do. I’ve made some friends for life at ISB, but one can always wish for more!

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
It’s entirely fair to say that ISB changed me as a person – the way I approach every situation in life, be it professional or personal has become more rational, more thought out and more empathetic. Every bit of ISB leaves an impression, from the faculty to the amazing classmates to the extremely competent staff. These are definitely relationships for life and the learning from these relationships is definitely a life altering experience!

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
It has only been a year since I graduated, so empirical data might not be available! However, I can say with certainty that ISB has given me access to opportunities that probably might have otherwise remained aspirations. ISB’s continuous learning from its alumni, in addition to the peer learning possible through the alumni network makes for a wonderful combination of learning opportunities.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
        One of a kind

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
I am heavily engaged with the school even now due to the fact that I live in Hyderabad. I interact with students through multiple forums. I am the campus ambassador at my employer for placements. I would like to keep this going even if I no longer live in Hyderabad through the local alumni chapters.
