Dear Reader,

First off, we’d like to wish all of you a Happy New Year, and hope 2024 is full of bigger and better ‘firsts’ for you, as it’s going to be for us – but we’ll get to that in a bit.

Late last year, COP28's pivotal agreement in December signalled the beginning of a transformative shift away from the fossil fuel era. The announcement added on to the optimistic, stable growth projections for the global economy in 2024, following a year of governments successfully keeping inflation under control and a widely expected recession at bay. All of this has been thanks to resilient, courageous, and informed leadership – something that the coming year will need a lot more of.

In this edition of Executive Perspectives, our esteemed faculty emphasise the critical significance of such leadership in steering organisations through dynamic playing fields, fraught with innovation. Our  Industry Insights episode with PwC’s Hari Kumar on why leaders should leverage empathy, humility, and courage, is a must watch. Do also check out  our article on how female CMOs are able to outperform their male counterparts.

Moreover, our Executive Education programmes stand ready to equip experienced professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to lead organisations toward sustainable, responsible, and resilient futures, such as the  Powering High-Performance Boards  and  The Future CHRO programmes.

Finally, read all about our first ever  CXO Summit, an unparalleled platform for knowledge exchange, thought leadership, and innovation that will equip attendees with the insights and strategies needed to drive growth and transformation, in an era of rapid change and disruption.

We’re grateful for your constant support and engagement, as we strive to continue bringing you timely and actionable insights and analysis through Executive Perspectives.

Onward and upward!

Warm regards,
Team ISB Executive Education
