ISB Mohali
The Punjab Government has conveyed its principle approval for setting up the ISB campus at Mohali. A formal agreement would be signed with them on November 12, 2008. A Campus Advisory Board for ISB-M will be announced shortly, consisting of the four Founder Supporters and other select members of the ISB Executive Board. Savita Mahajan, Associate Dean, who has been involved with this initiative for the last one year will now head the Mohali campus project as its Chief Executive. She will be responsible for all aspects of the campus, including infrastructure, administration and rolling out the academic programmes. She will work closely with the Mohali Advisory Board, the partner schools, area leaders, faculty and the senior management at the ISB, to create another world class campus

'India Logistics Executive Round Table'

The Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies (GLAMS) hosted the ‘India Logistics Executive Roundtable’, on October 3-4, 2008. Special focus was on the warehousing and distribution logistics in India. The conclave generated ideas about coordinated growth strategies in supply chain and logistics. Participants included CEOs and higher level managers from sectors like manufacturing, retail, logistics providers and 3PLs, investment banking, software and technology providers, infrastructure and real estate developers etc.

Conference on 'Igniting the Genius Within'
The First International Conference on ‘Igniting the Genius Within’ held from October 23-26 was organised by the Centre for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC). This special Conference aimed to create a community of leaders who will follow an integral approach that is based on the convergence of leadership, innovation, and change. These three areas were examined through the lens of wisdom perspectives, scientific principles and management practices. Contemporary approaches for developing global leadership, sparking innovation, and nurturing change in organisations, were some themes deliberated upon during the three day Conference.

The ISB Energy Conclave |

The Energy, Manufacturing, and Operations Club at the Indian School of Business hosted The ISB Energy Conclave on October 25, 2008. The theme of the Conclave was ‘Gearing up for the energy challenge: Energy strategy – challenges and opportunities’. This flagship event of the EMO Club was initiated at the ISB to address the dynamics of the energy sector with the changing times.

Case Centre

The Case Development Centre established recently will
develop Indian case studies of international standard with
the support of ISB faculty, as well as faculty from other
leading B-schools in the region. The Centre’s mission is to
be the leading Centre for developing and promoting case
studies specific to India and the emerging markets. This
will serve the twin purpose of making relevant material
available for local institutions to teach students and
executives, and also enable business schools across the
globe to draw upon the experiences of companies in emerging
markets.
