Understanding providers' attitude towards artificial
intelligence
in india's informal healthcare sector - a survey study
|
|
Our new research investigates how informal and AYUSH
healthcare providers perceive the adoption of AI for
tuberculosis diagnosis in India. A study conducted
in Gujarat and Jharkhand revealed that although most
healthcare providers believed adopting AI could
enhance diagnostic accuracy, there was a significant
regional
|
|
|
difference in their willingness to adopt the AI
technology. This disparity could be due to the
influence of factors such as local healthcare
infrastructure, including access to radiologists,
and socio-economic factors affecting technology
acceptance.

NEW RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT
|
Evaluating the feasibility and
cost-effectiveness of Wastewater
and Environmental Surveillance
|
This study aims to expand the scope of Wastewater and
Environmental Surveillance (WES), which has already proven
its potential during the COVID-19 pandemic, to broader
public health challenges. The project will assess the
financial and logistical requirements for scaling up WES
while analysing its public health benefits.
The team of researchers at ISB MIHM will develop models to
map pathogen transmission, sewage network and evaluate the
cost-effectiveness of different WES strategies. The
findings aim to inform policies that strengthen the
integration of wastewater surveillance into current
surveillance practices.
