Dean’s Reflections

Dear Friends,

This month we hosted a very interesting conference in the campus. The Khemka Foundation’s Social Entrepreneurship Forum was held in the Khemka auditorium at ISB, named after the family that helped us build the auditorium. This was a very special moment for us! The conference was a resounding success, with participation from delegates worldwide including Africa and Pakistan. The participants were united in their vision of meeting the basic needs of the society while also ensuring that their means are sustainable and profitable. It is only by solving society’s basic problems of clean drinking water, affordable health services and housing that we can lay claim to any greatness as a nation and I commend the work of these pioneers.

Elsewhere on campus, there is fervent activity connected with the high-powered ISB Leadership Summit, which will be held on December 2nd and 3rd. This annual event features accomplished leaders who will contemplate and brainstorm ideas on the challenges that lie ahead for India and how we can overcome some of them. ILS is more than just a springboard for ideas; it is also a forum where practical solutions can be found. I hope our students gain from this thought-provoking exchange and that a spark is ignited within them to play an active role in the new emerging India.

I look forward to hearing from you. Do write to me at ajit_rangnekar@isb.edu.

With Regards,
Ajit Rangnekar
