September was, just like any other month, full of all sorts of fun activities on campus. And with the relatively easy Term 4, the spirits were high – both literally and figuratively. Following were some of the key activities that happened on campus:

Rock Show

With three upcoming rock bands performing at the lounge of ’08, ISB had its first rock show which rocked through the night. It was a motley of all kinds of rock – starting with the softer kinds and progressing to death and metal. This was followed by the DJ playing till the wee hours of the morning.

Pirates Party

With pirate hats and eye patches, everybody came dressed up for the pirates party organised by the SLC. Needless to say, the spirits were higher than the high seas.

Shadowing Programme

The ALA team, in conjunction with the alumni community, organised a one-of-its-kinds ‘Shadow Programme’, where interested students got a chance to spend a day with an alum in his/her office. It was an enriching experience for the students who participated and helped in building bonds with the ISB fraternity, apart from giving a sneak peek into the life of a professional in an industry of their choice.

"I would like to express my thanks to all of you for the wonderful session today with the alums. This was very nice and stimulating and I want to thank the Alums and team for the meticulous planning which has gone on to make this beneficial to us. Kudos to all the organisers who have spent time and energy, for the benefit of the entire batch and made this a very productive session".

- Srinivas Telakunta on his shadowing experience at Deloitte Consulting
"Thanks to the Alum for granting such a great opportunity to understand the nitty-gritty’s of working in an infra sector company. I am greatly indebted to him for this. His personal interest in advising us about the correct way of working and, over and above, in spending his valuable time with me even after the office hours, has benefited me a lot by providing a deeper insight into the matter. I would say that the shadow alum programme should be considered a mandatory requirement for all the students at the ISB."

- Apurb Anand on his shadowing experience at Lanco Infratech
