ROUGHBOOK
“RoughBook” was screened at Khemka Auditorium on October 12. It’s a bold
film about teachers and the education system, directed by National Award
winning director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. The producer, Mr. Aakash
Choudhary, Class of 2004, was also present amongst us during the special
screening.
“Rough book” uncovers many nuances in education and is interesting viewing
for both teachers and the taught. It takes up the issue of commercialization
of the current education system. It shows that, in spite of major
challenges, there are still teachers who believe in the youth and their
potential.
The movie revolves around a bunch of students and a teacher, who find
themselves caught in an education system which gives no benefit or learning
to students. The teacher eventually decides to independently train students
with lower grades to come out with flying colours in the IIT entrance exam.
The movie was viewed by ISB students, faculty and staff in large numbers. It
was loved and appreciated by all.
