Can you tell us a little about your family background/history?
My wife comes from medical background and I have two lovely daughters.

Briefly describe your personal and professional achievements (including recent awards\special projects)
The biggest achievement has been the fact that I managed to retain my medical skills.

Tell us about your profile pre ISB, and recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
I was heading the Department of Radiology at Fortis Hospital, Noida before ISB. Post ISB, I have hopped between management and Radiology jobs. Right now I am self employed.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
I had numerous wonderful experiences, which I could never manage to remember once the sobriety of the mornings kicked in. Even though every day and most of the nights were a revelation, but still my fondest memory of ISB is that of the last day when it was time for me to fly back and reunite with my daughters.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
Post ISB I realised that anything and everything is feasible and possible, one just needs to develop a different metric to measure success. The difference now is that earlier my aspirations were driven by the expectations of people around me, and now I have managed to change the expectations of people around me. The one lasting impression was the experience of being taught by wonderful teachers, quite a few of whom were younger than me!

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
ISB has contributed to my career growth by providing me the option of two alternate careers and by providing the confidence to dream big.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:

Hangover

What was the main highlight of your programme at the ISB?
My major learning from ISB was an unforgettable lesson in humility, where one is forced to realise that brilliance is momentary. Somewhere finding their moment, whereas others were remembering theirs...

Word of advice for the current class?
Keep dreaming big. There will never be an honour code violation in your dreams!

What was your favourite course/class at ISB and why?
My favourite classes were the ones towards the end of the academic year. By that time the gulf between the dean's listers and the mortals was apparent. That was the time when the most meaningful of class discussions took place and I discovered voices and thoughts that were never allowed access to our ears, hearts and souls by the overburdening enthusiasm of the already enlisted.

Was there anyone during your time at ISB who acted as a mentor for you? Tell us a little about this relationship and why it was valuable.
Most of the professors chipped in with kind and encouraging words and it will be very hard to single one out from the talented lot.

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
I can help with counselling for the disgruntled.

What do you enjoy most about your current career position?
Complete freedom to plan my day.

What is the next new thing in the industry or vertical you are working in? Any trends that you can see?
Healthcare is moving increasingly from hospitals to excel sheets. There will initially be health for all, followed by wealth for a few, and ultimately health for wealth. This denotes a very bright future for the healthcare professionals and managers and for the fortunate few who can manage to take care of their health without depending on healthcare.
