What was your job profile prior to the ISB?

I had about 5 years of work experience before joining the ISB.I worked for Verifone, later acquired by HP, in Bangalore and was involved in various aspects of IT software development - QA, architecting, and leading teams.

Tell us about your ISB experience.

There was a lot of pressure. There were always a lot of things taking place. I was involved with the Students for Society club, precursor to the Net Impact club. I also got selected for Wharton Global Consulting Project because of which I got to meet industry stalwarts such as Anand Mahindra and Pawan Goenka.

What was your goal post ISB?

I was looking at getting into business technology consulting, but my main interest was in Product Management. However, getting into Product Management without any prior experience is difficult.

Any advice for the current class?

Do as much as you can while at the ISB, try out as many things as possible as the ISB offers many opportunities. However, the primary reason you are at the ISB is to learn, so focus on that.

What are you currently doing?

I am now the Global Director of Product Management at Support.com. I lead a team of senior product managers and am responsible for usability. My mandate is to reduce costs, perform market research and come up with strategies that will help support.com cater better to its customers.
