Solstice

As I check in on www.solsticebegins.in the clock shows just 20 days for Solstice. Our class has been labeled a studious bunch and for good reason, we certainly are. But as we build up momentum to Solstice via our internal awareness initiatives, there is a remarkable tinge in the air. Students are excited about Solstice and about having so many alums back on campus.

During the past couple of months on Solstice duty, I’ve been fortunate to hear some amazing stories about the culture at ISB. I’ve heard stories about the bull and the camaraderie with the operations team every spring, about the oldest student ever at ISB (at 58) and how she faithfully turned up to class in crisp cotton saris and other narratives that make the soul of ISB.

As the Class of 2014 shuffles through this year, we, the class of 2014 have one request for every alum. Come for Solstice and tell us stories. We want to hear about your time at ISB, the crazy things you did, your customs, your traditions and your rituals. We want to know what was special about your year and class, the footprint you left behind and the good times you had. Tell us your travails; the time you got caught sneaking around, your Term 8 shenanigans when you realized you had just a couple of weeks left to live the ISB life.

The Class of 2014 is more than 7 months done and it feels like only yesterday you mentored us at O-Week. It’s time we realized that we need to create memories of our own J.

See you at Solstice!
