Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression.
I joined ISB after spending close to seven years with Tata Steel in the areas of Operations and Quality. After ISB, I joined ArcelorMittal at their Czech Republic unit as head of Supply Chain. After two years, I moved on to join the corporate office of ArcelorMittal International in Luxembourg. It has been an exciting three years since I graduated. I have worked in two countries, learnt new languages and traveled across different places. Looking back, I thank ISB for the learning opportunities, without which I would never have been able to make the career progression that I did.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
It was really an amazing year at ISB. Attending lectures and group meetings, doing assignments, finishing presentations, preparing for next sessions – we were literally running all the time. But, looking back, it was a lot of fun. Even after so much of work, ISB life was filled with fun and celebrations. When I joined ISB, my daughter was just nine months old. The little free time I had from my curriculum, I used to spend it with my daughter and these were undoubtedly, one of the best moments. I can’t think of one special moment because they were all amazing – a year filled with hard work, learning and fun.

With the knowledge and experience gained at ISB, when looking back, tell us something that you would have done differently while you were a student here?
Looking back, I would have spent more time in getting to know my classmates better. Although I had a close group of friends and knew my class section, I did not know too many people from the other sections. Looking back, I should have spent more time interacting with students from the other sections.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
I wish to contribute to the society. It may not be today but someday, definitely. There have been so many inspiring examples from amongst my friends at ISB, and they have really changed the way I think about my life, the society and the country.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
ISB has imparted in me an entrepreneurial spirit, financial discipline and care for the society. In my professional life, I am much more organised and entrepreneurial in my thought process and try to think of new ways to do things. The Career Advancement Services at ISB helped me to achieve my career ambitions and was of great help in the overall recruitment process.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
Amazing!

What are the areas that you can contribute to at ISB?
I would like to contribute to ISB in terms of helping the Career Advancement Services reach out to potential recruiters. I would also like to help students by counseling them on various career options and preparing them for the recruitment process.
