Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
After completing my undergraduate degree from Purdue University, I worked for a year as a quality engineer in Trading Technologies, Chicago. But soon, I decided to follow the many foreigners and Indians who were heading to India for opportunities, and joined Halycon, a PE fund focused on turning around distressed companies, as a financial analyst. Halycon provided me with a rich experience that ranged from conducting industry & financial due diligence to building detailed financial models. ISB provided me with an ideal platform to start working with Tata Quality Management Services (TQMS) as consultant for a wide variety of Tata group companies.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
The exuberance of the Solstice weekend, from jumping all around the Shamiana with my classmates and alums to watching 400 alums and students singing along with Strings as they sang “Dhaani,” is a moment I will never forget. Seeing friends come together and recap stories that we were living at the time, was amazing! All of us have had the same experience, just at different points in time. It is this shared experience that binds us all together, through every step in our lives. Can’t wait to see everyone in December!!

With the knowledge and experience gained at ISB, when looking back, tell us something that you would have done differently while you were a student here?
I enjoyed every minute of my time at ISB and would not want to do anything differently. However, one year simply flies by before you can take advantage of all that ISB has to offer! I just wish that the year had lasted a little longer.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
With such a diverse student body, the ISB experience gives you a very well-rounded perspective on things – both professionally and personally. I have made some great friends who have helped me understand myself and my direction in life better and for that, I will always be grateful to ISB. I'm now a vocal proponent about making informed choices in life! I have also learned to manage my time better, and am much more comfortable with my work-life balance post ISB.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
Although six months is too short a time to comment, I do believe that ISB has given me the platform to take my life into my own hands and exploit my potential to the fullest.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
Eclectic!

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
I would be glad to get involved in any activity that furthers the ISB brand as we chart our next phase of growth.
