Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
I have been born and brought up in New Delhi. Completed my schooling from New Delhi, DPS RK Puram. Finished my undergrad with B.E. In Computer Sc. & Engg. from MD University, Rohtak (Haryana) in 2001. Started my career by starting an advertising and production company, called Quantass Associates. Attended a three week GMP  program at NUS Business School, Singapore in 2002. Joined ISB in 2003 with 2 years of entrepreneurial experience in advertising industry. Opted to work with Infosys Technologies post ISB in their CRM consulting division. Moved to Cognizant in 2005, before finally joining my family business, Aakash Educational Services Ltd. http://www.Aakash.ac.in  in 2006. Have been involved in managing operations and setting up new projects and business lines for AESL since then. I recently finished an executive MBA program for entrepreneurs, called the OPM (Owner President Management) from the Harvard Business School.

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
On academic front, I cherish some of the marketing and strategy lectures by Proessor Raju and Professor Harbir Singh.  I would say that I grew as a mature person personally as well as professionally during my one year at ISB. It taught me how to enjoy freedom with responsibility and remain at peace in the toughest of times, look for a lesson in every action and pick up everything meaningful from the environment.

With the knowledge and experience gained at ISB, when looking back, tell us something that you would have done differently while you were a student here?
Firstly, I could have waited and worked more before joining ISB. I think, for me two years of pre-ISB experience was not enough to understand nuances of the programme. While at ISB, I missed out on a lot of avenues of peer learning and remained focused on just getting grades. Given a chance, I would manage my time better to make the maximum of the wonderful opportunities which the programme provides.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
Post-ISB, on personal front I have become more aware and confident about myself. At the back of my mind, being from ISB, it always help me to go ahead and set challenging goals for myself and the knowledge  I acquired gives me conviction to execute whatever I plan for.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
I did not spend much time in corporate world post ISB. However, I would give credit to ISB for my growth as an entrepreneur. I always feel that I have a community which can support me, a sounding board which can advice me and of course a friends circle which motivates me personally & professionally to do better every day.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word: Leadership-Hub

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
I started contributing to ISB by being part of the founding team for the ISB-Endowment Fund, class of 2004. I contributed a small amount as a start to give back to ISB for what it has given to me. Furthermore, I help the admissions team at its various info-sessions for prospective admits. I was also on their interview panel this year in New Delhi. I would want to continue to participate and contribute in all the above-mentioned avenues and would also be keen in mentoring current students/alums on the education industry as a career track. I would also be keen to help the new campus at Mohali in ways suitable to the school.
