Retailing In India : Retiling in India increased strongly in 2010, with a similar growth rate to 2007, before the financial crisis. The driver of such strong growth was modern retailers expanding their reach further across India, particularly as the leading retailers could negotiate better rental prices after the global financial crisis.

Media Sector : As the regional economy continued to show signs of improvement over the last six months, most leading Asia-Pacific media companies reported mostly improved financial results in the latter half of 2010.

IT Sector : "Tier I IT companies reported a mixed 4QFY11, with Infosys and Wipro disappointing and HCL Tech reporting results in line with expectations. The volume growth reported by companies in 4QFY11 was one of the lowest in the past few quarters.

Settling into a normalized growth phase : According to Centrum Research’s economist, Dhananjay Sinha, India’s GDP and IIP growth are likely to moderate to 7.6% and 7.5%, respectively, in FY12E from 8.6% and 8.8% in FY11E.
