Tell us about yourself - your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression.
I joined ISB with a focus on getting roles in general management as I planned to start my own company in the future.

Post ISB, I joined ACC Ltd., a cement company, in a general management role, where I worked in various profiles such as Operations Transformation, Manpower Planning and Sales Force Realignment. I resigned from ACC in September 2010 to start my own venture.

Currently, I am in Bangalore, where I have tied up with IMS to run one of their centres on a revenue-sharing basis. I am also a partner in a couple of nascent Web start-ups.

What was your key take-away from the ISB?
I was exposed to the various business verticals, which enabled me to start my own company.

How do you think the ISB has contributed to your career growth?
I joined ISB with very specific goals to achieve.  I wanted to gain cross-functional exposure in a general management role and start my own venture with an aim to stabilize the operations within two years.

I gave myself a target of five years post ISB to achieve these goals and I am on my way to fulfilling them. My experience at ISB has helped me achieve these goals.

What is your vision for the School?
I hope ISB continues to grow, with a focus on research. I would like to see a day when case studies prepared by ISB are discussed in top universities globally.

What are the strengths that the School can leverage upon and areas it can improve?
The strengths the school can leverage upon are its diverse pool of alumni and collaborations with top institutions.

How do you think alums can associate with the School or alum’s role in building the School?
The alumni can collaborate with faculty members to create case studies. We can also help to facilitate placements for future batches and mentor the juniors.

What is the area you can contribute in?
I am a member of the ISB alumni chapter in Bangalore. I also mentor current students.
