Entrepreneurs/Startups Special Interest Group -
Updates
The Alumni Special Interest Group for Entrepreneurs/Startups
conducted a series of networking events in Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai in the
month of May. 60 budding alumni entrepreneurs/alumni working with startups
were a part of these events in the above mentioned cities.
An Entrepreneurs/Startup Meet was organized in Bangalore on May 23.
67 alumni (PGP & PGPMAX) participated in this event which consisted of 2
panel discussions covering a wide range of topics like marketing, talent
acquisition, angle v/s VC funding, investment follow-on, company
incorporation, new tax laws etc. This was followed by networking over
cocktails & dinner.
“Exceptional turnout in terms of quantity and quality. As a fellow
entrepreneur, it’s always good to share the challenges you face and learn
from the experiences of others. The collective power of the community will
definitely be helpful for all stakeholders (entrepreneurs and investors). I
hope that we leverage this community, not just in 1 city but also across
other cities and grow this ecosystem.-"Anuj Kacker, Co-founder, SkillWiz,
PGP 2008
"The event was very informative and very well organized. I got an insight
into the startup world, both from an entrepreneur's perspective as well as
from an investor's perspective. I was pleasantly surprised that the ISB
Bangalore community had 24 startups in its midst and I am sure there are
more out there. This platform gives all such entrepreneurs a mutual support
system and offers them an easier way to reach out to relevant people in the
industry either for guidance or for facilitating a business deal. I would
like this to be a recurring event and eventually have the other chapters
adopt this in their respective cities.-"Anjana Suresh, Head of India
Operations, ViralTag, PGP 2014
A webinar on “How to Validate your Business Idea" was also recently
conducted by Vishal Srivastava ( Co-Founder of Trainedge Consulting Pvt. Ltd
& ISB Class of 2003). 35 alumni attended this session and gave extremely
positive feedback on the content and format of the session.
