I was a National level sportsman prior to ISB and represented the country in golf on numerous occasions ,attaining a National rank of  3 in 2007 and winning various national golf tournaments from 2006-2011 was a highlight for me.

In 2010 I started working fulltime towards a Business Venture where I set up and managed the Marketing and Operations functions for a chain of successful serviced apartments in Gurgaon ,this is an achievement which I am proud of as it gave me a hands on insight into the various Business Processes in a Start Up enterprise.

I played full time competitive professional golf until 2010, after which I worked for a period of two years in a successful entrepreneurial venture prior to joining ISB.Post ISB I joined Sahara India in the Marketing department(Gurgaon)

Describe your fondest memory of ISB.
The friendships that I formed and my interactions with such a high-calibre student body are fond memories for me. The campus life at ISB is something that I often reminisce about.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?ISB life has made me more organised and meticulous, because the workload required a lot of time management. I have a different perspective on business problems now; I am able to see them from the perspective of a multitude of stakeholders. This has improved my decision making capability and my analytical skills.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
ISB has given me in-depth learning on various qualitative and quantitative aspects of business, both from an Indian and global perspective. The extensive course work at ISB has been very beneficial to me as it has provided me with tools to tackle a multitude of business-related problems.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
Enriching.

What was the main highlight of your programme at the ISB?
Being able to spend terms across both campuses was a memorable experience.

Word of advice for the current class?
Try to meet and learn from your classmates - the experience that each one brings with him is diverse and rich. Also ensure that you manage your time well and enjoy everything that this venerable institution has to offer.

What was your favourite course/ class at ISB and why?
Decision Models and Optimisation (DMOP) was my favourite. This course has given nightmares to many, but it was taught so beautifully by Dr Anjani Jain that it became an absolute pleasure. It has also proved very useful in terms of real-life applications.

Was there anyone during your time at ISB who acted as a mentor for you? Tell us a little about this relationship and why it was valuable.
I had a good set of close friends at ISB, and together, we helped each other with our respective weaknesses and guided each other.

What are the areas in which you can contribute to ISB?
In the future, I look forward to being closely associated with the school and to contribute in every way possible to the growth and progress of this great institution  and the student body.

What do you enjoy most about your current career position?
I am able to maintain a hands-on approach and have the opportunity to be a part of the fast paced FMCG and Real Estate sector.

What is the next new thing in the industry or vertical you are working in? Any trends that you can see?
There has been a lot of development in the online marketing space and there is a clamour for customer acquisition through the online medium, especially in consumer retail. This is a trend which is going to be intrinsically linked to the success of a business in the future.
