Can you tell us a little about your family background/history?
I was born and raised in Hyderabad. My older brother Chandrasekhar Goda is also an ISB alum, from the CO2011.

Tell us about your profile pre ISB,  and recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression:
After graduating with LL.B in India, I went abroad for LL.M and stayed on in the US, to work as a corporate and immigration law attorney.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?
I came to ISB to add to my qualifications and to explore a desire to do more with my career. At ISB, I discovered a passion for OD and HR and changed careers. I am delighted to have made a happy transition into a field of my choice.

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
The courses taught at ISB, the professors teaching them and fellow students opened my mind to new possibilities. My ISB experience provided me opportunities to meet leaders in the fields of OD and HRM and enabled me to pursue a new career.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word: Catalyst

Word of advice for the current class?
Get involved. Try out everything you're interested in. You stand to gain a lot more from ISB, if you participate.

What was your favourite course/class at ISB and why?
I had a lot  of favorites! Professors . Kale, Sonti, Rishtee Batra, Bubna, Ram Narayan, Mantena, Zhang, Tanya Menon and Periera are but a few of the amazing professors teaching at ISB!

What are the areas that you can contribute in to ISB?
There are endless opportunities to contribute in ISB. The challenge is in choosing from the incredible variety available. And in the rare instance, a student wants to do something that is currently not  on offer, the school will gladly make efforts to provide the opportunity to pursue that interest.

What do you enjoy most about your current career position?
My current role at Deloitte offers exposure to industry best practices in HRM, an extremely talented and supportive team and the freedom to explore ways to combine my skill-set, career objectives and interests.

What is the next new thing in the industry or vertical you are working in? Any trends that you can see?
Given the rapidly blurring differences across geographies, functions and roles, a multi-disciplinary approach to HRM, is the way forward.
