Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression

I work with GVK Power & Infrastructure where I helped set up the Investor Relations function.
Post ISB, I worked in the Digital Media sector for a year before switching to infrastructure. It was quite a change for me as these sectors are very different and I had to start from scratch.

Key take-away from the ISB?

If there’s one thing I have learnt at ISB is that it’s never too late to do something new. As long as you work hard and keep an open mind, you can always develop new skills.

How do you think the ISB has contributed to your career growth?

Absolutely! ISB was one of the best things that happened to me. I met amazing people, learnt tones of stuff and have made friendships for life. What more could one ask for?

What is your vision for the School?

I would like ISB to be known & respected all over the world for the quality of its students, faculty and alumni.

What are the strengths that the School can leverage upon and areas it can improve ?

Am proud of what ISB has achieved so far. We have world class faculty & infrastructure. We should leverage these strengths to attract students from all over the world and not just India. Though student-alum interactions have improved over the years, I think that there’s a lot more that can be done. Also, ISB should take the lead in developing case studies based on Indian companies. These are exciting times for our country and the challenges Indian companies face aren’t being properly documented so that students all over the world can learn from our experiences.

How do you think alums can associate with the School or alum’s role in building the School ?

I believe that every alum has a responsibility to give back to the school. Be it time, money or knowledge. I hope that more of us take the trouble to interact with the students and administration. Whether its admission roadshows & interviews, industry specific talks, job interview preparation, etc there is a lot we can do.

What is the area you can contribute in?

As an alum, I think the two most important areas are admissions and placements. Am already helping out with admission interviews. Would also like to help the Infrastructure Club in any way I can.
