Tell us about yourself – your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
After graduating from the ISB in 2005, I joined Bharti Airtel as the zonal manager for Hyderabad Metro. Within the company, I then moved on to various roles such as business head for the fixed wireless business and circle head for usage and revenue, where I managed revenue of over Rs 3500 crores per annum.

Post Bharti, I joined Tata Docomo as the head for national usage and revenue. I have recently moved to a new role as the head for customer lifecycle management for the entire Tata Telecommunications group business (GSM, CDMA, Photon, 3G).

Describe your fondest memory at ISB
There are many. The lectures on entrepreneurship by Professor Venkat have had a lasting impact on me. On the recreational front, I liked the “Peacock point” – we always walked to the peacock hillock in the evening to have a look at the beautiful birds before sunset.

With the knowledge and experience gained at ISB, when looking back, tell us something that you would have done differently while you were a student here?Unlike what others say, I would’ve actually liked to spend more time with my books! I’m making up for it now by reading ISB books.

At ISB, I ended up making a lot of friends from a background that was similar to mine – Marketing. In hindsight, I should have made more friends from a different background.

In your personal life, how have you changed post-ISB? Do you see yourself doing something differently because you went to ISB? What has left a lasting impression?Firstly, ISB changed my perspective on a lot of things. The whole experience has made my views more holistic, balanced and well-rounded. I have also become a more humble person and more importantly, gained the confidence to think big and chase bigger things in life

How do you think ISB has contributed to your career growth?
Having the brand ISB attached to you helps open up a lot of doors. Both the organisations that I worked with post ISB were willing to provide me with more challenging roles every 18 months. I have been entrusted with two critical and challenging projects in both these organisations  because I graduated from the ISB.

If you have to sum up ISB in one word:
Life-changing

What are the areas that you can contribute to at ISB?

I can help students with their placement preparations and in training programmes that will equip them with leadership, communication and analytical skills.
