Tell us about yourself - your profile, recap your professional life after ISB including your career progression
After completing my undergrad in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, I worked for four years building software products. As an engineer, I realized that I need a fast-track business education, in order to develop a clearer understanding of how the other business functions work in an organization. My goal was to prepare myself for an entrepreneurial career in the future.

What was your key take-away from the ISB?
Key take-aways from ISB were - a) presentation and communication skills b) group dynamics c) core finance, accounting and business planning skills

How do you think the ISB has contributed to your career growth?
I joined ISB in order to build a platform and skills for an entrepreneurial career. I was able to move into a P&L management role a year after ISB, and got to apply a bunch of cross-functional skills I picked up at ISB. Since the last couple of years, I have been running a startup of my own, and my stay at ISB played a significant role in giving me the confidence, skills and contacts to strike out on my own.

What is your vision for the School?
ISB should play a very active role in Indian policy-making and in building the eco-system for removing the growth obstacles that India faces currently.

What are the strengths that the School can leverage upon and areas it can improve?
A great brand built in a short period of time, a good mix of high quality candidates and faculty are the strengths that the School can leverage upon
Areas of improvement include - getting more international students, restrict intake in order to keep the bar for admission high, active involvement in macro issues related to development of India, a stronger and more active alumni network.

How do you think alums can associate with the School or alum’s role in building the School?
A school becomes a great school, only if it has an awesome alumni network. The best that alums can do for the school - is to succeed, become business superstars and to continue to be involved with the school throughout their professional life.

What is the area you can contribute in?
Help the Entrepreneurship club or WCED
