A Veritable Homecoming

The Hyderabad campus was teaming with life last month. The reunion weekend brought eight hundred alumni to the campus, along with their families. A palpable blend of revelry, nostalgia and intellectual revival marked the occasion.

For the first time, the homecoming classes paid tribute to the School with a Reunion Gift towards the Alumni Endowment Fund. Collectively, the Classes of 2006 and 2011, and the PGPMAX Founding Class, contributed more than Rs. 1.1 Crores to the School during Solstice 2015.

The current class as a whole went out of their way to accommodate their alumni. Students vacated their rooms for visiting alums, literally setting up camp at the ‘SV2 Campsite’ – another first.

Dean Rangnekar celebrated his last Solstice as Dean of ISB. The Alumni Association felicitated him, paying a heartwarming tribute to his 13-year legacy in a keynote address at the Khemka Auditorium.

For your viewing pleasure, these photographs capture just a few of the fun moments and fond memories from Solstice 2015.

On Friday morning, preparations for Solstice are almost complete. Even the youngest on campus lend a hand in decorating the massive Christmas Tree in the Atrium.

At an afternoon session on leadership with Prof. Dishan Kamdar, attendance is overflowing, so alumni cheerfully take to the floor for seating.

The homecoming classes, 2006 and 2011, affectionately dubbed our ‘superheroes’ in line with the theme for Solstice 2015, were adorned with red capes upon arrival. Here, the Class of 2006 gathers in the LRC for a class photo.

Alumni sportingly pose for a photo as they make themselves comfortable on the lawns in front of the Recreation Centre, where an evening of entertainment is about to kick off.

Crowds gather to watch musical acts performed on Saturday night.
