Endowment Fund School Announcement 2014

The ISB has completed awarding the two scholarships supported by the Alumni Endowment Fund for the academic year 2014-15. Gayatri Chauhan was awarded the PGPMAX Co2012 Scholarship and Harman Loona was awarded Alumni Endowment Fund Scholarship. The ISB is thankful to its alumni who have supported the Alumni Endowment Fund to institute these scholarships.

Gayatri has graduated in B. Arch, Architectural Design and Planning from IIT Roorkee. She started her career with Fountainhead O4 an environment friendly architecture firm based in Bangalore as Associated Architecture. Later she has worked with several firms like Danan Group Design ltd, Dheya Towfiqi Engineering Bureau (DTEB) and Biodiversity Conservation India Ltd (Now ZED Homes). In 2013, Gayatri got selected among twenty sustainability professionals from India by Swedish Government for a full scholarship based Leadership program. Her recent employment was with Wipro Ltd as a Sustainability Anchor where she was chosen among the top potential women leaders before got into ISB.

Harman completed his graduation in MBBS from SMS Medical College, University of Rajasthan. He started his career as Junior Resident in Goyal Hospital and later moved to Fortis Hospital in Mohali as a full time doctor before got into ISB. His has served as a medical officer as part of his extra-curricular activities with an NGO firm ‘SWEEKAR’ from 2009-2012.

The Alumni Endowment Fund was started in the year 2010 seeded with generous support from PGP Co 2004. Matched by equal contribution from the school, the fund has since then grown to reach approximately 3.0 Cr INR. All contributions to the fund are invested in permitted mechanisms for ISB as per government regulations i.e., FD, government bonds etc. Contributions to the endowment are tax exempted U/S 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.
