The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Entrepreneur programme is being re-launched this year. The initiative is a campaign to foster economic growth by providing women entrepreneurs around the world with a business and management education and access to capital. The objective of the 10,000 Women programme is to help small business owners to become more bankable and position themselves to access appropriate sources and levels of small business funding and capital.

The 10,000 Women programme targets women who meet the following criteria:
• Key decision maker with senior leadership role (i.e. CEO, COO, President)
• Openness to accessing external capital to grow
• Strong desire to grow business
• Existing business that employs at least 10 people
• Annual revenue between Rs. 60 lakhs – 3 Cr
• Business has operated for at least one year
• At least 20% of business owned by women

Please note that women who hold an elected or appointed government position are not eligible for the programme. Additionally, women who are connected to political figures may not be eligible for this programme.
The shortlisted candidates are evaluated based on the following:
• Business growth potential
• Desire to grow business, including through accessing external capital
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Commitment and openness to the programme model
 

Programme Dates

The 10,000 Women programme will be launched in Hyderabad and Mumbai. It will be delivered over 15 days between the 3rd week of November, 2015, and the 3rd week of January, 2016, for the Hyderabad batch; and the 1st week of January, 2016, and the 2nd week of March, 2016, for the Mumbai batch*.

The application form can be dwonloaded at http://www.isb.edu/10kwomen. Completed applications should be submitted electronically by Friday, Sep 11, 2015, for the Hyderabad batch and Friday, Oct 30, 2015, for the Mumbai batch to the below email address. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted. Candidates will be notified by the 3rd week of September, 2015, for the Hyderabad batch and the 2nd week of November, 2015, for the Mumbai batch, if they have been shortlisted to attend a 20-minute interview.
